Terms of Service
Last updated 18 August 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and SeekerStack for use of SeekerStack — the web app at seekerstack.com, its browser extension, and its API. Using the service means accepting them.
They are written to be read. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
1. What the service is
SeekerStack is a personal applicant tracking system for candidates: somewhere to record the jobs you apply for, the stage each one is at, the interviews and people attached to them, and what you should chase next. It also reads job adverts and CVs with the help of an AI model to save you typing.
It is a tool for keeping your own records. It does not apply for jobs on your behalf, does not send anything to employers, and has no relationship with any employer, job board or recruiter mentioned in your board.
2. Your account
You need an account to use anything beyond the landing page and the demo. You agree to give a real email address you control, to keep your password to yourself, and to tell us at hello@seekerstack.com if you think someone else has got into your account. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract. One person, one account — accounts are not for sharing.
3. What it costs
Nothing, today. Every feature described on the site is free, including the AI features, which are limited to 5 AI actions per calendar month per account — reading a CV, reading an advert and scoring a match each spend one. The allowance resets on the 1st. It exists because those calls cost real money and the service is free; we may adjust it, and will say so in the app when we do.
Paid plans may be introduced later. If that happens: we will tell you in advance, the features you rely on will not be switched off without notice, you will never be charged without explicitly agreeing to a price first, and you will be able to export or delete your data rather than pay.
4. Your data stays yours
Everything you put into SeekerStack — your applications, notes, contacts, CV files — remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store that content, to display it back to you, to back it up, and to send the specific parts described in the privacy policy to our AI provider when you use a feature that calls for it. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your content to train models, do not sell it, and do not show it to anyone else. What we do with it is set out in full in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
You are responsible for having the right to store what you upload — including other people's contact details, which you should record only as far as you need them to manage your own application.
5. What you may not do
- Break the law with it, or store content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Upload someone else's CV or personal details where you have no right to hold them.
- Use it to send unsolicited bulk mail, or to harass anyone you have recorded as a contact.
- Attack the service — probe it for vulnerabilities other than to report them, work around the AI allowance or any other limit, run automated traffic against the API beyond your own ordinary use, or try to reach data belonging to another account.
- Resell the service, or run it as the backend of something you charge for.
Security research is welcome; tell us at hello@seekerstack.com before you publish anything.
6. The AI features
Match scores, extracted advert fields and CV profiles are produced by a language model. They are estimates, and they are sometimes wrong — a score can misjudge your experience, an extraction can read the wrong company off a page, a list of “gaps” can invent a requirement the advert never made.
Check anything before you rely on it. None of it is careers advice, a prediction of whether you will be hired, or a reason to apply or not apply. Nothing an advert extraction produces is saved to your board until you have seen it in the form and submitted it.
AI features depend on a third-party provider and may be unavailable, slower, or changed. The rest of the app works without them.
7. The browser extension
The extension reads the page in your active tab only when you open its popup and press Save this page. It requests no standing access to any site, and it never saves an application without showing you the form first.
When you capture a page, you remain bound by that site's own terms of use. Use the extension on adverts you are entitled to read; it is not a scraping tool, and using it to collect job listings in bulk is outside these terms.
8. The demo
The demo runs the real app against a database inside your browser, filled with invented companies, people and adverts. Any resemblance to a real employer is coincidental. It is there to be looked at: it lives in your browser's storage, we cannot see it, we cannot recover it, and clearing your browser data ends it. Do not keep anything in it you would mind losing.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service up and working, but it is offered without a service level agreement. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because a provider it depends on is down. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn.
If we ever discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice — at least 30 days where circumstances allow — and a way to get your data out before it is deleted.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. This is a record of your job search, not a system of record for anyone else.
10. Ending it
You can stop at any time. Deleting your account in Settings removes your data as described in the privacy policy, immediately and permanently.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — in particular section 5 — or where we are legally required to. Except where the breach is serious or the law prevents it, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right, and to export your data.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its AI output will be accurate.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities — including any job you did not get — or for data you lost and had no copy of. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free account is zero.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by this section.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — a new feature, a new provider, a correction. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect, and the date at the top will change. If you do not accept a change, delete your account before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
Please write to hello@seekerstack.com first — most things are a misunderstanding and get fixed the same week. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
14. The rest
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the service. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing something immediately does not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours if the service changes hands, having told you first.
Questions about any of this: hello@seekerstack.com.
